Online Banking Security Middleton Community Bank is
committed to protect your personal and financial information and
privacy.
In addition, Regulation E (Electronic Fund
Transfer Act) establishes certain protections to consumers who use
electronic fund transfer services when there is unauthorized activity.
Regulation E covers electronic fund
transfer activity, including online banking services, through a
checking, savings, or other consumer asset account used for primarily
for personal, family or household purposes.
The Regulation E protections are
incorporated into our Online Banking Service Agreement. Online Banking ID and Password When you enroll in Online
Banking, you will be prompted to create your own online ID and password.
Your online ID must be between 4 and 12
characters and contain at least one letter, and may contain numbers and
certain special characters.
Your password must be a minimum of 8 characters
and contain alpha, numeric and special characters.
We require that passwords be changed every 90
days. Security Questions One of the first times you access your accounts online,
we will ask you to choose and answer three (3) security questions.
During future online sessions, to confirm your identity, we will ask
you some of these questions if we feel there is a possibility that someone
other than you is attempting to access your information. Watermark Online Banking includes a watermark security feature.
A user-selected image is displayed during the log-in process and on
each page of Online Banking.
This image will reassure you that you are logged into Middleton Community
Bank’s Online Banking site and have not been tricked by a phishing scam.
Should you not see your selected image during your login process, you
should discontinue the login process and call us immediately at (608)
824-3200. Timed Log-off You will be will automatically logged off of Online
Banking after 10 minutes of inactivity.
