Student Loans
If you’re a student or parent, financing a college
education is a big issue. Middleton Community has several contacts to
put you on the right path for finding the financial options best suited
for you.
Getting started is easy…
-
Step 1: Complete a Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Pick up a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
from your high school guidance office, the college you plan to attend,
or
access it on the web. Some schools require you to fill out
their own financial aid application in addition to the FAFSA. Check
with your school. Complete the FAFSA and submit it to the address on
the form.
-
Step 2: Review your
financial aid award
You will receive an award letter from your school that will state your
demonstrated financial need, the types and amounts of financial aid
for which you qualify, and your expected family contribution.
-
Step 3: Select a loan
option that meets your needs
If your award letter recommends a federal loan, you and/or
your parents may be eligible for either a Federal Stafford and/or a
PLUS loan. To determine which loan(s) might meet your needs,
review our chart, or call a Personal Banker at 608-824-3200 for more
information.
-
Step 4: Complete an Élan
Loan Application
Do you need an application? Your school should send
applications to you, or you may be able to complete your application
through your school's website. If not, call us and we'll be
happy to send the forms you need. Middleton Community Bank's Lender Code
is 300580.
