Certificates of Deposit

Check Rates

A certificate of deposit offers safety for your money and can earn a rate that is higher than a regular savings account. Each depositor is insured up to $250,000 by the FDIC. Interest can be credited to the certificate of deposit, paid with a check to the customer or deposited into an account.

Rates vary with market conditions. We offer CDs with various terms beginning at 91 days.  Visit our Rates page for current information or call 824-3200.

CDARS – FDIC insurance on CD investments

What is CDARS?

CDARS is the Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service. And it’s the easiest, most convenient way to enjoy full FDIC insurance on deposit amounts larger than $250,000.

Everything is handled through our bank. Your large deposit is broken into smaller amounts and placed with other banks that are members of a special network. Then, those member banks issue CDs in amounts under $250,000, so that your entire investment is eligible for FDIC insurance. By working with just one bank – our bank – you can receive insurance from many.

For more information on CDARS, contact a personal banker at 824-3200.
